This may be the most simple and most affordable protein snack ever. This chocolate pudding with Greek yogurt comes together with just five ingredients that you can get from any local grocery store.

  • Greek yogurt
  • Sweetener or maple syrup

  • Chocolate chips
  • Pinch salt

Now, for a healthier chocolate pudding this recipe uses nonfat Greek yogurt, erythritol as a sweetener and sugar-free chocolate chips. But if you prefer, go for full fat Greek yogurt, maple syrup and dark chocolate chips.

Dairy-free yogurt chocolate pudding

If you follow a vegan diet or can’t eat dairy, here’s how to make dairy-free yogurt chocolate pudding.

As simple as this, all you have to do is replacing Greek yogurt with plant based alternatives. Just make sure that the yogurt has a firm, thick consistency – a prerequisite for a good chocolate pudding texture. My recommendations are soy Skry, soy Greek yogurt or thick coconut yogurt.

How to make Greek yogurt chocolate pudding

In a bowl combine Greek yogurt with sweetener (or maple syrup), cocoa powder and pinch salt. Stir to combine until smooth and creamy. Depending on the texture of the Greek yogurt used, you may need a splash of milk to fix the consistency of the pudding.

Serve with chocolate chips on top or keep refrigerated until eating. To store it, place in a small airtight food container and seal. This yogurt pudding will last for up to 2 days.

  1. Oh my goodness, I made this pudding a little while ago and it was absolutely delicious! It reminded me of Yoplaitโ€™s Oui โ€” thereโ€™s a mocha chocolate variety that your pudding recipe tastes Iike โ€” so scrumptious. Thank you ever so much for such amazing recipes.

    1. Hey my dear Victoria!

What a great pleasure reading your nice feedback. I am soooo happy to hear this from you, what a compliment that my homemade protein pudding tasted like the one from the grocery store. But cheaply made at home with just simple ingredients. The best of all worlds I’d say ๐Ÿ˜‰
      Bests,
