MattsFitChef is the blog dedicated to easy healthy and high protein recipes that anyone can make. From weight loss to flexible dieting, here you will find plenty of healthy recipes for anyone. All these flavorful dishes are high protein, macro-friendly and affordable.
My Story
I have an inborn passion for food. Already at a very young age, I would beg my grandma to make cake with me so that I could bake and eat along with her.
This wasn't much of a problem until my innocent passion for food got compromised by fast food, cookies and sugars. At the age of 10, my unhealthy diet paired with a sedentary lifestyle led to weight gain and obesity.
I disliked myself, I disliked how I looked, I disliked how my weight limited my daily life. I just wanted to buy normal clothes, as teenagers do. That couldn't go on any longer!
So I decided to take control of my life and at the age of 14 I committed heart and soul to my weight loss journey.
I started eating vegetables, exercising regularly and drinking more water. The results were quick to come. Too quick, so that besides loosing more than 30 kilos in just 3 months I also lost control over the situation.
It took me a couple of years to make peace with food again, but eventually I made it. And in the meantime I have learnt a lot. I have learnt a lot not just about myself, but also about healthy cooking, nutrition and exercise.
Looking back now, I am both proud of and also grateful for my journey. This journey gave me a motive to follow my passion for food and health. Passion that led me fund my blog MattsFitChef.
