Welcome to MattsfitChef, my corner on the web. I’m so happy you are here! My name is Matteo, and I am the fitness chef and nutrition coach behind MattsfitChef.
I completed my training in wellness as an accredited nutrition coach at Precise Nutrition. As Level 1 Certified Nutrition Coach and Health Coach, my mission is to teach people how to eat healthier and reach their goals without restrictions. My philosophy is simple: It’s all about following a healthy lifestyle that fits you, not just another diet.

MattsfitChef is the blog dedicated to easy, healthy and high protein recipes that anyone can make. From weight loss to muscle building, here you will find plenty of healthy recipes for your goals. I like making simple meals, made with minimal ingredients that perfectly fit into your diet and budget. I never use refined sugars or white flours, and hardly ever cook with oils. If not high quality olive oil for serving.
Over the years, I’ve built a community of over 556,000 followers on Instagram and 2.8 million followers on TikTok. I feel so grateful and excited to keeping sharing my mission with more and more people as time passes.

Fun facts about Matteo
- I was obese until the age of 14, weighing over 187 pounds (85 kg)
- I lost over 75 pounds (35 kg) in my early teens, and soon fell in love with healthy eating
- I struggled with restrictive eating and excessive exercising, but now I’m finally able to enjoy both my meals and workouts
- Breakfast is my favorite meal – I like it so much that sometimes I eat breakfast foods even for lunch, especially my protein oatmeal
- I eat mostly vegetarian and I LOVE vegetables. Although not vegan or 100% plant based, I never liked meat (if not in hamburgers) and I’d rather ditch pork for a tofu stir fry
- My favorite dessert is cheesecake (I love my protein cheesecake so much) but it only goes second after a slice of protein banana bread enjoyed on day two
