I’m back and I’m back with a protein breakfast – tiramisu Weetabix protein porridge! This protein porridge comes together in minutes and tastes like dessert for breakfast. But healthy and with 41 g of protein!
This weetabix protein porridge is a delicious alternative to my tiramisu oatmeal. It requires just a handful of ingredients and is so easy to put together.
Take a bowl, crush in your weetabix and add a scoop of protein powder. But here’s the trick for weetabix tiramisu. Instead of just milk, we are going to use part coffee and part milk.
And after a couple of minutes on the stove (or in the microwave), your protein porridge with weetabix is ready to become a weetabix tiramisu! As simple as that, all you need to do is topping your porridge with yogurt and sprinkling with cocoa powder.
Eating tiramisu for breakfast has never been that easy!
Ingredients for weetabix protein porridge
This easy recipe uses just 6 simple ingredients, and can also be prepared without protein powder!
Here’s what you need for this weetabix tiramisu:
- Weetabix
- Protein powder (or oats)
- Brewed coffee
- Sweetener of choice (optional, to taste)
For the tiramisu topping, instead, you need:
- Yogurt of choice (Greek yogurt or Skyr for more protein)
- Cocoa powder
Which protein powder for weetabix protein porridge?
You can prepare this protein weetabix tiramisu with whey or vegan protein powder. However, the cooking procedure will slightly change depending on the protein powder.
- Whey protein powder. If you make this weetabix protein porridge with whey protein powder (or casein), the protein powder should be added only after the porridge has cooked. If you cook whey, it will get lumpy and rubbery.
- Vegan protein powder. On the other hand, making this weetabix tiramisu with vegan protein is relatively easier. All you need to do is scooping your protein into the crushed weetabix before cooking.
Now that we’ve seen how to use different protein powders, let’s have a look at the best flavors.
For this protein porridge with weetabix I recommend using simple protein powder flavors. Here are my suggestions:
- Unflavored
- Vanilla
- Chocolate
How to replace protein powder?
You can still make this weetabix tiramisu also if you don’t have protein powder. All you need to do is replacing the protein powder with 1 weetabix more or 30 grams (1/3 cup) oats!
Looking for more protein? Here are my three tips to bump up the protein:
- Use soy, pea or dairy milk for more protein
- Top your weetabix tiramisu with Greek yogurt or Skyr
- Replace part of the milk with egg whites (read the next paragraph for more details)
EXTRA protein weetabix porridge
Follow this recipe tip and make a protein bomb! …no worries, it won’t explode ?.
Replace 60 ml (1/4 cup) of the milk with egg whites and cook the protein porridge as described in this recipe. The egg whites will add around 7 grams of protein and make your weetabix tiramisu incredibly creamy!

This is delicious. Personally I use 4 weetbix and some extra milk, as 2 is nowhere near enough for me! We have weetbix in New Zealand so maybe they’re a little smaller, I’m not sure
Hey dear Micah,
thank you very much for your feedback. I am glad to hear you liked my recipe…!
Pertaining the Weetabix amount, it can definitely be that different countries sell the product in different sizes. Good idea to adjust with more Weetabix.
Have a great day,
Matteo
