I have these egg whites protein crepes every week. I love this recipe because it is so easy to put together, with just a couple of simple ingredients. And it requires no protein powder because these protein crepes are made with egg whites!

Here’s all you need to make these egg whites crepes.

  • Oat flour (or flour of choice)
  • Egg whites
  • Milk of choice

On the top of that, you may want to make sweeter crepes by adding a couple teaspoons of your favorite sweetener. For my crepes I like using erythritol or stevia because these are the sweeteners without additional sugars or extra calories.

Of course you can also make yours with maple syrup, honey, coconut sugar or brown sugar.

Egg white tips and tricks

For my recipes I like using liquid egg whites in brick. They are much more convenient and you won’t be left with lots of unused egg yolks. Plus, they come in very handy for many other protein recipes. 100 grams of egg whites have a whopping 11 grams of protein for just 43 calories!

  • Jam

The topping for these protein crepes is an even lighter version of my low calorie Nutella recipe. All you need are 3 basic ingredients:

  • Cocoa powder
  • Sweetener of choice
  • Milk of choice

How to make protein crepes without protein powder

Making this recipe is so quick and easy. Here is all you need to know!

  1. In a bowl combine together oat flour, sweetener of choice, egg whites and milk of choice. Stir well until all ingredients are well combined and the batter is smooth and lump-free.
  2. Heat a large non stick skillet or crepe pan with little oil or butter over medium heat. Scoop 1/3 cup crepes batter over the pan and move the skillet in a circular form to spread the batter evenly. Cook over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes and flip.
  3. For the filling, simply use yogurt or mix it with sweetener (to taste) if you want a sweeter filling.
  4. Here is how to make the low calorie topping, instead. In a mixing bowl, stir together cocoa powder with sweetener of choice (to taste) and milk to consistency (around 2 to 3 tablespoons, you should get a smooth cream, not a runny liquid).

  • 40 grams (1/2 scant cup) oat flour (sub with flour of choice)
  • 1/2 to 1 tbsp sweetener of choice (erythritol)
  • 180 ml (3/4 cup) egg whites
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) milk of choice

Filling

  • 80 grams (1/3 cup) 0% Greek yogurt
  • sweetener of choice (to taste)
  • milk of choice (to thin)
