How to make cinnamon roll protein dip
Who has said that eating healthy is complicated?! This easy cinnamon roll protein dip comes together in a bowl and is whipped up in seconds. What’s more, you will need just five simple ingredients to make this creamy protein dip at home.
Protein dip ingredients and substitutes
Here is all you need for this yogurt protein dip recipe:
- Greek yogurt. For this recipe I used low-fat plain Greek yogurt but you can replace with Skyr, vegan Greek yogurt, coconut yogurt or any yogurt that you prefer, best if it has a firm texture.
- Protein powder. For this cinnamon roll protein dip feel free to utilize your favorite protein powder – either Whey protein powder or plant based protein powders, unflavored, vanilla or cinnamon flavored.
- Sweetener of choice. This recipe uses sugar-free fiber syrup for the dip but you can replace with your favorite liquid sweetener – maple syrup, agave syrup, honey, date syrup or sugar-free syrups. For the cinnamon sugar sprinkle you should use a granulated sweetener instead- erythritol, xylitol, stevia, coconut sugar or brown sugar.
- Ground cinnamon. Make this Greek yogurt protein dip with your favorite ground cinnamon – cassia or Ceylon, both work. And if you only have cinnamon sticks, consider grinding your sticks to get powdered cinnamon. This will count as a workout!
- Milk of choice. Plant based or dairy milk both work for this cinnamon roll dip recipe.
How to make cinnamon roll dip without protein powder
If you don’t have protein powder but still want to make this creamy Greek yogurt dip, read further because I am going to teach you how to replace protein powder. Making this recipe protein powder-free is as simple as substituting the protein with one of the following options:
- Almond flour. Use almond flour and your cinnamon roll dip will remain keto.
- Quick oats. Replace protein powder with quick oats and your yogurt dip will come out just like thick overnight oats.
- Oat flour (or instant oats). If almond flour is not in your cupboard and if you don’t like the texture of overnight oats, try making this cinnamon dip with oat flour! Your dip will get so creamy and delicious.
How to make vegan protein yogurt dip
This cinnamon roll protein dip recipe is also vegan friendly. To put together a plant based protein dip, simply replace Greek yogurt with your favorite vegan alternative and swap Whey with vegan protein powder.
