Tortilla Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 tortilla wrap 8 inch (20 cm), wholewheat recommended
  • ¼ cup (60 g) pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • ¼ cup (30 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese optional for flavor
  • toppings of choice

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the tortilla wrap on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, in a cast iron skillet, or directly on the rack (for more crispiness).

  • Spread the pizza sauce evenly on top of your tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.

  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and optionally Parmesan cheese evenly on top.

  • If desired, add 2-3 tablespoons of your favorite toppings. Do not exaggerate, and avoid watery toppings like fresh tomatoes. This keeps the tortilla pizza crispy.

  • Bake on the middle rack for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are golden and crispy and the cheese is bubbling.

  • Let cool for 1-2 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

Alternative Cooking Methods
  • Air fryer (400°F / 200°C) – Assemble your pizza as described, then place it in the air fryer basket lightly coated with oil/cooking spray. Air fry for 5–7 minutes until the edges are crisp and the cheese is melted. 
  • Toaster oven (425°F / 220°C) – Bake directly on the rack or a foil-lined tray for 8–10 minutes, until crispy and bubbling.
  • Skillet (stovetop) – Lightly grease a cast iron skillet or nonstick pan. Heat it over medium, then cook the assembled pizza (uncovered) for 5–6 minutes until the bottom is crisp. Optionally, you can finish it in the broiler for 1–2 minutes for a crispier texture.
