Greek Yogurt Bars

These easy Frozen Yogurt Bars are the perfect high protein snack for summer. With just 2 ingredients, this recipe is budget-friendly, low calorie and super healthy. Try my 9 flavor ideas, or make your own!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (460 g) Greek yogurt full fat recommended
  • 3 to 4 tbsp honey or maple syrup, to taste
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract optional

Berries Yogurt Bars

  • ½ cup (75 g) diced strawberries
  • ½ cup (75 g) blueberries
  • strawberries sliced, for topping

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt with honey and vanilla extract.

  • Add diced strawberries, blueberries, or your favorite mix-ins.

  • Using a spatula or fork, mix Greek yogurt until smoothly combined.

  • Taste and adjust with more honey, if necessary.
  • Transfer the Greek yogurt mixture to a loaf pan or dish lined with parchment paper. Using a spatula or spoon, smooth it out evenly.

  • Top with sliced strawberries or your favorite toppings.

  • Cover the pan with a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap to prevent freezer burns. Freeze for 2 hours, then remove from the freezer and let it on the counter for 10 minutes.
  • Use a sharp knife to slice into even bars. Wrap each piece individually with parchment paper, then place in zipper bags.
  • Freeze yogurt bars for up to 3 months. Before serving, remove the desired amount from the freezer and let thaw for 5 minutes at room temperature.

Success Tips
  • Use full fat Greek yogurt. Nonfat Greek yogurt gets icy and freezer burns may form.
  • Use a thick Greek yogurt, or the bars won't set.
  • Adjust sweetness with more maple syrup or honey to your likings.
  • Customize the yogurt bars with your favorite mix-ins like berries, sliced banana, chocolate chips, or peanut butter.
Storage Directions
  • After slicing, wrap the bars individually in parchment paper. Place in zipper bags or into an airtight freezer safe container and freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Let thaw at room temperature for about 5 minutes before serving.
