Frozen Banana Snickers

These Frozen Banana Snickers are the ultimate healthy treat for summer. A smooth layer of peanut butter is spread over sweet bananas, with a salty sprinkle of chopped peanuts and a drizzle of dark chocolate on top. Sugar-free, dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan, everyone will love healthy banana Snickers bars.

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas medium ripe
  • 4 tbsp peanut butter
  • 4 to 5 tbsp dark chocolate melted
  • ¼ tsp coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp chopped peanuts
  • sea salt

Instructions

  • Peel the bananas, then cut it in half lengthwise. Divide the halves into 2 parts each, in total you will get 8 banana slices. Place over a parchment paper covered baking sheet.
  • Spread peanut butter on top of each banana slice, making sure to cover it completely. Sprinkle the top with a pinch of salt and chopped peanuts.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, add chocolate chips and coconut oil. Place in the microwave to melt in 30 second intervals until soft. Drizzle melted chocolate over peanut butter banana slices and freeze on the baking sheet for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate has hardened.

Frozen banana Snickers tend to thaw pretty quickly. I recommend eating them straight from the freezer for the best experience.
