Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 medium zucchini see notes*
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • sea salt about ¼ tsp, or to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder to taste, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
  • Wash the zucchini very well and trim the ends.
  • With the help of a sharp knife or a mandolin, slice the zucchini into thin slices of about ⅛ inches.
  • Pat the zucchini slices dry with a paper towel or a clean kitchen towel and add them to a bowl.
  • Drizzle zucchini with olive oil and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Gently toss to combine.
  • Arrange the seasoned zucchini slices in the air fryer basket, on a single layer. Make sure you do not overcrowd the air fryer basket, or the chips won't crisp up.
  • Cook in hot air fryer for about 5 to 6 minutes, then flip and cook on the other side for 4 to 5 minutes more. Zucchini chips are ready when golden and crispy.

Notes

  • Zucchini choice. For the best and crispiest air fryer zucchini chips, use a medium-size zucchini. Avoid large zucchini with wide diameter, as they contain more water and taste bitter.
