This healthy and high protein banana crumble comes with a nutty banana base and a crunchy oat crumble on the top. My recipe uses just a handful of simple ingredients and is whipped up in minutes.

Served warm or cold, this mini dessert tastes delicious as it is or with a scoop of (protein) vanilla ice cream.

Here’s all you need to make this banana oat crumble, plus some substitutes.

  • Almond butter (replace with nut butter of your choice)
  • Vanilla extract
  • Rolled oats
  • Almond flour (replace with oat flour or normal flour)
  • Granulated sweetener of choice (erythritol, xylitol, coconut sugar or brown sugar)
  • Coconut oil (replace with butter or vegan butter)
  • Plant milk (replace with dairy milk)

Which protein powder for healthy banana crumble

You can make this healthy banana crumble with your favorite protein powder, both whey and vegan options work. I personally like mixing in whey protein because it is more fine and less dense, but this is just my personal preference.

In terms of flavor, instead, make sure that you use a simple flavor. I recommend vanilla or unflavored protein powder.
