Post Workout Protein Yogurt Bowl

With plenty of protein and juicy blueberries, make this protein yogurt bowl for a fast recovery after your workouts. Healthy, delicious and incredibly fluffy, this is the best post workout protein yogurt bowl ever!
Prep Time5 minutes
Course: Breakfast, Snack
Cuisine: High Protein
Keyword: Greek yogurt, protein powder
Servings: 1 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 ice cubes
  • 180 grams (3/4 cup) Greek yogurt (low fat) or Skyr
  • 30 grams (1 scoop) protein powder (vanilla, see notes*)
  • sweetener of choice (optional, to taste)

Toppings

  • 100 grams (1/2 cup) blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • puffed spelt or cereals of choice (to taste)
  • cocoa nibs (optional)

Instructions

  • Add ice cubes, Greek yogurt, protein powder (and optionally sweetener of choice) to a blender and process on high until smooth and fluffy. If necessary mix in a splash of milk to reach the desired texture (this depends on the protein powder used).
  • Serve right away topped with blueberries, puffed spelt, cocoa nibs or any topping of your choice. I recommend preparing this post workout yogurt bowl before eating. If you keep it in the fridge after blending, the ice will melt and make your yogurt watery.

Notes

u003cliu003eYou can make this post workout yogurt bowl with your favorite protein powder: whey, casein or vegan protein powder. u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eUse your favorite flavor of protein powder. I like making my protein yogurt bowls with vanilla or unflavored protein powder, but also chocolate tastes delicious.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eIf you don't have protein powder, skip this ingredient (and add ca. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract). Your post workout protein yogurt bowl will still have 21 grams of protein.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eMacronutrients and calories are calculated for the recipe with protein powder, 100 grams (1/2 cup) of blueberries and no additional topping.u003c/liu003e
