Keto Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • cup (65 g) allulose
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • teaspoon salt add more for salted caramel
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan or pot over medium heat, combine allulose with butter, vanilla extract and salt. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, then gradually pour in the heavy creamy.
  • Bring to a simmer, stirring frequently to prevent the keto caramel sauce from burning. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and is golden brown.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and let cool for about 10 minutes. Use it immediately, or transfer to a sealable mason jar and store in the refrigerate.
