Eggless Chocolate Mug Cake

Ingredients

  • ½ banana ripe
  • 50 grams (½ cup) oat flour or preferred flour
  • 10 grams (1 tbsp) cocoa powder
  • ½ to 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey, more to taste
  • tsp baking powder
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) milk of choice
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp chocolate chips optional

Instructions

  • In a microwave-safe mug, mash the banana and combine with oat flour, cocoa powder, maple syrup, baking powder and salt. Mix well.
  • Add the milk and stir until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. Top your eggless mug cake with chocolate chips if desired.
  • Place the mug in the microwave and cook on high for approximately 1-2 minutes, or until the cake has risen and is set in the center. Microwaves may vary, so adjust the cooking time accordingly.
  • Carefully remove the mug from the microwave (it will be hot!) and allow the cake to cool for a minute or two before serving.
