Equipment

Ingredients

For the eggs

  • 4 eggs at room temperature

For the ice bath

  • cold water
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 275°F (135°C). If yours only goes down to 300°F (150°C), please refer to the note section below.
  • Place eggs in the air fryer basket, in a single layer so that they don't overlap. Cook 9 minutes for dippy eggs or 10 minutes for a firmer texture.
Test and adjust cooking times according to your air fryer, some are more powerful.
  • Prepare the ice bath while eggs are air frying. Fill half of the bowl with cold water and half with ice cubes.
  • Once the eggs are ready, use kitchen tongs to remove them from the air fryer. Place immediately into the ice bath and let cool for 10 minutes.
  • Gently tap them on a hard surface to crack the shell. Start peeling from the wider end where the air pocket is, the shell should come off easily. Run under cool water to remove any residual of shell, then serve or store for later.
