Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe bananas about 200 grams (7 oz.)
  • 180 grams (2 cups) rolled oats

Optional

  • chocolate chips optional
  • maple syrup or honey to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (360ºF) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas, then add the oats. With the help of a spatula or fork, stir the mixture into a dough. Based on the size and ripeness of the bananas, you may need to adjust with more oats if the dough is too wet or with a bit of milk if it is too dry. Taste and adjust the dough with maple syrup or honey if you feel that the cookies are not sweet enough for you.
  • Scoop out onto the lined baking tray about 8 to 10 dough balls, then flatten into cookies. Optionally, top with chocolate chips.
  • Bake in hot oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
