Ingredients

  • 1 tsp matcha green tea powder
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) hot water
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) milk of choice divided
  • maple syrup or honey to taste
  • ⅓ tsp vanilla extract optional
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, place a teaspoon of matcha powder and hot water. Whisk well, using a bamboo whisk (or an electric coffee mixer), until the matcha has fully dissolved into the liquid. There should be no lumps left.
  2. Pour into the matcha mixture ⅓ cup of the milk alongside maple syrup and vanilla extract (optional). Whisk to combine, adjusting with more sweetener if it is necessary.
  3. Before serving, add to a glass a couple of ice cubes and the remaining milk, then pour in the matcha drink. Give it a good mix and enjoy.
